Hello! We are a young, dynamic professional couple looking for our ideal home. Julianne is a senior financial planner at Financière Banque Nationale, while Jean-Philippe is an associate professor in robotics at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS). Passionate about our respective careers, we also place great importance on an active and balanced lifestyle.
Athletic at heart, we share a passion for gym workouts, tennis, skiing (both alpine and cross-country), rock climbing, and running. After several half-marathons, we’re taking on a new challenge this year: our very first marathon in October! We also enjoy life through cooking, travel, and time in nature — whether hiking, camping, or simply strolling on Mont-Royal.
Montreal is central to our lives. Having been island residents for over ten years, we appreciate its energy, diversity, and quality of life. Today, we want to lay solid foundations for the future and find a warm home where we can grow, start a family, and build our lives together.
We currently live together in a downtown condo, but we’re starting to feel its limitations. With our plan to start a family in the near future, we want to move into a space better suited to this new chapter of our lives.
Our current home doesn’t have enough room for our future family and lacks a backyard — something we really care about for enjoying the outdoors. We also aspire to live in a more family-friendly neighbourhood where we can balance our active lifestyle with a safe and pleasant environment for raising children.
As we both work downtown, easy and efficient access to public transit is a top priority. Ideally, we’d like to be within walking distance of a metro station (e.g., 10–15 minutes max).
We’re looking for a safe, family-friendly neighbourhood with nearby green spaces. A park where we can run and enjoy outdoor activities is essential for us.
We want a single-family home to preserve our privacy and have a fully private living space.
In terms of space, we’d ideally like a home with at least four bedrooms (or 3 bedrooms and over 2,000 sq ft) to anticipate our growing family. A backyard is also a must — for gardening and for entertaining guests.
The kitchen, being at the heart of our daily life, needs to be spacious, functional, and well-stocked with storage.
Finally, we own a lot of sports equipment (bikes, golf bag, paddleboard, cross-country skis, alpine skis, snowboards, etc.), making ample storage space essential. A garage or parking space would also be a major asset.
